In February 2012, Techsmith announced Jing Pro is to be retired.
On 6 January 2009, TechSmith released Jing Pro, a paid premium version of Jing. If uploaded to the web, the program automatically created a URL to the content so it could be shared with others.

The software took a picture or video of the user's computer screen and uploaded it to the Web, FTP, computer or clipboard.

El Jing té una versió professional de pagament, anomenada Snagit, que ofereix més prestacions i possibilitats. Jing és compatible amb Macintosh i Microsoft Windows. Si es puja a la web, el programari crea automàticament un URL de la imatge i pot ser compartida amb tercers. Aquest programari captura una imatge o un vídeo de la pantalla de l'usuari i ho carrega a la web, a un servidor FTP, a l'ordinador o al portaretalls.
TechSmith also changed the Jing product page to point to a new product named TechSmith Capture that performs a similar function. On 14 July 2020, Techsmith shut down the support for uploading to in line with the previously-announced end of support for Jing.
